FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the benefits of membership?

As a club member you will be able to apply for tickets for home and away Republic of Ireland matches as part of our club allocation.

At the start of each season (normally from July 1st) you will also be able to take up a FAI Season Ticket package if you wish at the Aviva Stadium which includes all Republic of Ireland home games and the FAI Cup Final. As a club our members season tickets are allocated together in various areas of the stadium and we receive other benefits that come with the FAI Season Ticket.

I want to attend some home games, not all?

As a club we submit an order to the FAI to apply for tickets for home and away games. The club has a specific application process where members submit an application form with their details and pay a deposit payment upon application. We then submit a club application to the FAI. We can usually secure tickets to home games this way which means members are seated together at games.

This process suits members who want to go to some games, not all the games.

Our club application process is open for a period of time with strict deadlines so that we have time to collate our “club order” to submit to the FAI.

What about those big matches, how can I get a ticket for those games?

As a club we operate the same application process for all games, we open up an application window and communicate a deadline by which members need to submit their completed form and payments.

We then apply to the FAI for tickets for all games on behalf of members.

The FAI will allocate our club with tickets for games. If demand is high the amount of tickets we are allocated as a club may not be met by the FAI. In this scenario we allocate tickets to members who have applied based on a fair and transparent criteria. This is:

  • Applicant’s record of attendance at previous home and away games in campaign(s) on tickets allocated by RISSC London
  • Season Ticket Status
  • Length of continued membership in club

This process is fair on all members as new members who join the club, attend games or take up a Season Ticket will soon rise up the club priority list.

Do you do child memberships?

Yes we do, we are also able to order child tickets from the FAI for home games and order Child Season Tickets.

I want to apply for tickets for Away games only, what are my chances?

  • We have the same application process for all games. Whether you are successful with your application is determined by the level of demand for tickets to the FAI.
  • Our members historically travel in large numbers to Away games.
  • If demand is high and our club allocation of tickets is limited due to demand, we allocate tickets we do get based on the club priority criteria communicated above.
  • If you only travel to away games your status will not be as high in the club priority list as a member who goes home and away and also has a Season Ticket.

I have a Season Ticket, but may not be able to go to all the games. Can I sell my ticket on?

We urge all ST holders to offer their tickets back to the club in the first instance if they are not able to attend a specific match. If there is demand for tickets from our membership we can sell on your ticket to be used by another member for that hand and your account will be credited with payment.

If there is not demand/resale interest we will let you know. It’s your ticket so you can re-allocate it to someone else but in this situation you will be responsible for getting your own Season Ticket card back.

Selling tickets at a profit is not acceptable. In addition, we urge caution in giving your card to someone you do not know. The person using your tickets will need to adhere to the FAI terms and conditions of use and behave accordingly.

Under no circumstances should you sell club tickets on websites such as eBay, Viagogo etc. Any club tickets found on such sites will be reported to the FAI.

Your Season Ticket Card is allocated to you.

Where do I collect tickets?

If you have a Season Ticket through RISSC London you will be given an FAI swipe access card to get into the stadium on match day. This is for your use for the season so keep your card safe. RISSC London will keep a record of your card, as it states your block, row and seat number.

If you are not a Season Ticket holder you will be issued with a paper ticket for games where you are allocated a ticket. These are usually available for collection at club meetings in advance of the game. In addition, we also arrange a pre match collection meeting point in Dublin.

We do not post tickets.

Payments, how do I do that?

On all our application forms we provide details of our club bank accounts. We have Euro and Sterling accounts and advise cost of tickets in both Euro and sterling. We can also accept PayPal payments. Your club account will be in the currency of your choice when you join.

You need to make payment of deposits and confirm the same with the club treasurer.

Payments over the counter at bank branches need to be notified to the club treasurer asap.

Please ensure you use your name or membership number as a reference on payments.

Can I set up a standing order to the club?

Yes you can, you will need to set it up with your bank. Payments made by you are allocated to your account for your ticket purchases and membership renewals.

Direct Debits are also available via GoCardless, details available on the membership renewal page.

You can check your status of funds by contacting the treasurer. The email address to contact the treasurer is treasurer@rissc.org

What if I don’t get a ticket if demand is high, can I get my application deposit back?

Yes you can, you will need to contact the treasurer and we will arrange this for you. We will need you to fill in a form confirming your bank details for transfer.

Can I apply for tickets for friends?

We encourage friends of members to become members of the club so they can apply for tickets with you.  In addition, we will try to allocate tickets with other members where they request this. It’s not always possible.

RISSC London support the FAI and have 4 premium level vantage club tickets in the clubs name. We hold a draw of our membership with 2 prizes of a pair of tickets for games. The draws take place at club meetings.

Any other benefits?

We often get FAI Shop discount codes, offers from FAI sponsors including City Jet and other benefits throughout the season. Please enquire with the secretary.

From the 2017/18 season we issued members badges and pens to members. All new members will also receive a membership card and card holder.
