Shamrock Rovers crushed visitors Bray Wanderers by six goals to nil in Tallaght Stadium while the RSC saw hosts Waterford defeat St Patricks Athletic by two goals to nil. Sligo Rovers were defeated by four goals to one in the Showgrounds by defending champions Cork City, the only side with maximum points after the first two sets of league fixtures.
