The 2020 Airtricity League Premier Division kicked-off this Friday evening with four scheduled fixtures all ending in one nil results with all four winning goals being scored in the second half of each contest. Defending champions Dundalk defeated Derry City in Oriel Park while Cork City went down to promoted First Division champions Shelbourne in Turner’s Cross. St Patrick’s Athletic lost to visitors Waterford in Richmond Park with the North West ‘Derby’ meeting of Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers going the way of the hosts in Finn Park.
The remaining fixture between bitter Dublin rivals Bohemian and Shamrock Rovers kicked-off at 2pm on Saturday afternoon in Dalymount Park where the visiting ‘Hoops’ scored the only goal in the third minute of added time for victory.
