There was a full Airtricity League Premier Division programme played this Friday evening. Leaders Derry City were held to a one all draw by visitors Bohemian in the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium while second place Shamrock Rovers defeated Finn Harps by three goals to one in Tallaght Stadium to narrow the gap at the summit to one point. Dundalk were held to a two all draw by UCD at The Bowl while Shelbourne defeated Sligo Rovers by two goals to one in Tolka Park. Head in the Game Park hosted the meeting of Drogheda United and St Patrick’s Athletic which the visitors won by four goals to nil to climb to third place.

The Airtricity League First Division continued on Friday evening with leaders Cork City visiting bottom side Athlone Town where they secured a two one victory while second place Galway United travelled to Cobh Ramblers and registered a four nil success. Third place Waterford were also on the road and carved out a four one victory at Bray Wanderers.
Bishopsgate hosted the meeting of Longford Town and Wexford on Saturday evening which the hosts won by two goals to one.
