Friday night in the Airtricity League Premier Division

The Airtricity League Premier Division continued on Friday evening with current leaders Dundalk going down to a two one defeat at third place Waterford in the Regional Sports Centre. Bottom side Bray Wanderers defeated visitors Derry City by two goals to one in the Carlisle Grounds while Dublin rivals, St Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers locked horns in Richmond Park with the hosts prevailing by two goals to nil.

Monday night in the Airtricity League Premier Division

The hectic Airtricity League Premier Division programme continued on Monday evening with Cork City going down to a three nil defeat by Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium. Dundalk regained their position at the summit with a five nil victory over St Patrick’s Athletic in Oriel Park while third place Waterford scored the only goal to defeat hosts Bohemian in Dalymount Park. Limerick went down to a three nil home defeat by Derry City in the Market’s Field while Sligo Rovers defeated visitors Bray Wanderers by two goals to one in the Showgrounds.

The Airtricity League Premier Division continued on Friday evening with RTE 2 bringing live coverage of the top of the table meeting of Cork City and Dundalk from Turner’s Cross which saw the hosts score the only goal to supercede their opponents at the summit. Third place Waterford were held to a one all draw by Sligo Rovers in the RSC while the Brandywell hosted a scoreless draw between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers. Richmond Park witnessed a two all draw between St Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemian while the bottom two, Bray Wanderers and Limerick, went head to head in the Carlisle Grounds with the visiting ‘Blues’ scoring the only goal.

EA Sports Cup contest on Monday evening…23/04/2018

The EA Sports Cup second round fixture between Waterford and Cork City took place at the RSC on Monday evening and was a less fractious affair than their very testy league encounter seventeen days ago. The contest remained scoreless in normal time with both sides scoring once in extra-time to generate a penalty shoot-out which went the way of the hosts by five goals to three. The ‘Blues’ will travel to face Sligo Rovers in the quarter-final.

The Airtricity League Premier Division continued on Friday evening with the Eir Sport cameras bringing live coverage of the Dalymount Park contest between Bohemian and Cork City which ended in a two nil victory for the visiting ‘Leesiders’. Current leaders Dundalk were held to a two all draw by visitors Derry City in Oriel Park while Waterford defeated their visitors Bray Wanderers by three goals to nil in the RSC. Shamrock Rovers were held to a one all draw by struggling Limerick in Tallaght Stadium.
