Championship
The New Den hosted the Championship meeting of Millwall and Bristol City on Tuesday evening. The hosts included Derby County loanee Alex Pearce and Shaun Williams in their starting eleven and took a first half lead but the visitors recovered and two second half goals revived their interest in the final play-off position. Aiden O’Brien was again omitted from the Millwall matchday squad. For the visitors, Callum O’Dowda was absent as he continues his recovery from injury which has side lined him in recent weeks.
League One
The League One promotion and play off battles continued on Tuesday evening with Burnley loanee Jimmy Dunne unused on the substitute bench for fourth place Sunderland who went down to a two one defeat at Fleetwood Town, while a foot injury ruled out Aiden McGeady. Down in Fratton Park, Ronan Curtis and his third place Portsmouth colleagues also suffered defeat, going down by three goals to two against seventh place visitors Peterborough United.
