Ireland U17s face Mexico in Cork…07/09/2021

The second contest between the sides took place at noon on Tuesday in Turner’s Cross where the visitors secured  a two nil victory. The first half ended  scoreless with the visitors taking the lead early in the second period and adding to their tally just after the hour mark. Ireland did have the opportunity to reduce arrears late on but visiting goalkeeper saved Kevin Zefi‘s penalty kick and also repelled his effort from the rebound.

Andorra, North Macedonia and Poland will provide the opposition with the top two progressing to the next stage.
