Head Coach Vera Pauw and the Republic of Ireland Senior Women now know the challenge which awaits them as they seek to qualify for the finals of the 2023 World Cup which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. There are nine qualifying groups with each group winner qualifying for the finals as will the best runner-up from those nine groups. The remaining eight runners-up will play-off to determine the final four qualifiers.
Ireland were among the Pot Three Seeds and have been drawn in Group A .
