U15s take on Poland in Galway…19/11/2019

Our U15 side, with Head Coach Jason Donohue at the helm, take on visitors Poland in two friendly internationals this week. Eamonn Deacy Park in Galway will host the matches on Tuesday the 19th November at 7.30pm and at noon on Thursday the 21st November.

Ireland, captained by our very own club member James McManus, won the first contest on Tuesday by two goals to one on a very chilly Galway evening. Kevin Zefi put Ireland in front on 32 minutes with a superb individual goal and defender Cathal Heffernan, son of Olympic Medal winning athlete Rob Heffernan, scored the second with a header on 50 minutes. Poland hit back immediately and reduced arrears just two minutes later but Ireland remained resolute to secure victory.
