U21 squad decimated by injury withdrawals…11/11/2019

Our U21 manager Stephen Kenny faces a huge challenge following the weekend withdrawal through injury of five members of his squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Armenia and Sweden. Caoimhin Kelleher, Conor Masterson, Trevor Clarke, Michael Obafemi and Neil Farrugia have all been ruled out of the Armenia match which together with the elevation of Aaron Connolly and Troy Parrott to the senior ranks, the suspensions of captain Jayson Molumby and Lee O’Connor and the absence of earlier injury victims Luca Connell, Darragh Leahy and Jonathan Afolabi leaves Kenny with an absolutely decimated squad.

There are five late additions to the squad which travels to Armenia in Gavin Bazunu, Kameron Ledwidge, Corey O’Keefe, Simon Power and Anthony Scully.
