The four quarter-final ties in the 2021 FAI Cup were played this Friday evening and saw Bohemian overcome non-league Maynooth University Town by four goals to nil in Dalymount Park while St Patrick’s Athletic defeated First Division basement side Wexford by three goals to nil in Richmond Park. The other First Division side UCD went down to a three two defeat by Waterford at the Bowl. There was huge drama in Ballybofey where the hosts Finn Harps, reduced to ten men, recovered from a three one deficit to secure a three all draw with visitors Dundalk and earn a replay in Oriel Park next week.
