At his press conference in Abbotstown this Sunday morning, Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny announced that West Bromwich Albion defender Dara O’Shea has been called into the senior squad for the upcoming Nations Cup contests against Bulgaria and Finland.
He also confirmed that both James McCarthy and Troy Parrott would undergo fitness assessments following their recent injury mishaps.
It has now been confirmed that Troy Parrott has been ruled out of next weeks matches and Preston North End striker Sean Maguire has been called in to the squad.
Goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara is the latest injury casualty and he is replaced in the senior squad by U21 netminder Caoimhin Kelleher
