Misfiring Southampton were without Shane Long for the Premier League visit of in-form Tottenham Hotspur to St Marys Stadium this Sunday afternoon, but seventeen year old striker Michael Obafemi made his Premier League debut with a substitute entry for the final fifteen minutes, as the sides played out a one all draw. Dublin born Obafemi is a member of Tom Mohan’s U19 Republic of Ireland squad. Obafemi has scored twelve goals at Youth Level for Southampton this season where his attack partner Jonathan Afolabi is another member of our U19 squad.
