There were three Airtricity League First Division fixtures played on Friday evening with already crowned champions Shelbourne held to a one all draw by Athlone Town in Tolka Park. The other two fixtures involved the four bottom sides with Cabinteely going down to a two one defeat by visitors Cobh Ramblers at Stradbrook while Cork City defeated Wexford by four goals to nil in Turner’s Cross.
