Current Airtricity League Premier Division leaders Cork City made the lengthy journey to face fourth place Derry City in the Brandywell on Friday evening and secured a point with a scoreless draw. Second place Dundalk narrowed the gap to one point with a two one victory over Sligo Rovers in Oriel Park. Third place Waterford played out a one all draw with hosts Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght Stadium with the Carlisle Grounds meeting of Bray Wanderers and Bohemian going the way of the visitors by three goals to one. EA Sports Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday evening

The three remaining 2018 EA Sports Cup quarter-finals were completed this Tuesday evening with Dundalk defeating Bohemian by three goals to nil at Oriel Park while Sligo Rovers scored the only goal to eliminate Waterford in the Showgrounds. The all First Division clash of Cobh Ramblers and Longford Town ended in a two nil victory for the hosts in St Colman’s Park.
