The Airtricity League Premier Division slog continued on Monday evening with current leaders Dundalk securing a two nil success over third place Waterford in Oriel Park while second place Cork City also emerged victorious by two goals to nil from their visit to face Limerick in the Market’s Field. Derry City and Bray Wanderers, both struggling for form, faced each other in the Brandywell with the ‘Candystripes’ emerging as two nil victors.

Current Airtricity League Premier Division leaders Cork City made the lengthy journey to face fourth place Derry City in the Brandywell on Friday evening and secured a point with a scoreless draw. Second place Dundalk narrowed the gap to one point with a two one victory over Sligo Rovers in Oriel Park. The first quarter-final in the 2018 EA Sports Cup took place in the Brandywell on Monday evening with Premier Division Derry City crushing First Division Shelbourne by seven goals to three.
